Some of the other things we have been doing in preschool...
We celebrated Louie's birthday, who turned 5!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY Louie!!!
We had a visit from the Firefighters and learned about fire safety...
Nurse Carol came to our classroom to teach us about health and the importance of washing our hands properly.
We went on a field trip to A's Pumpkin Patch, and the weather was simply beautiful!!!
We talked about Saint Francis of Assisi in religion as we celebrated All Saints Day. We learned that Saints are God's special helpers, and we talked about how Jesus taught us how we can be special helpers too, by being kind to others. We walked next to the Parish Hall to visit the statue of St Francis.
This week, we are learning the letter A. A is for Arlo and Araya! We are focusing on recognizing the letter Aa, and sounding the short sound of /a/, like in the word apple. We will share an apple tasting snack tomorrow, so remember to bring your favorite apple!
I want to thank all of you who have purchased some books at the Book Fair for our classroom!!! We are SO EXCITED to get to read new stories!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Coming up: No school this coming Friday the 8th of November. The teachers will be attending a Diocesan inservice.
