It was great to see many of you and visit with you last week at conferences. Thank you for making time to come in.
*Please send in $7 for the field trip to Maxwell Wildlife Preserve for each person going (parent drivers included.) by this Friday, Oct. 28.
Students and drivers will need a sack lunch that day (Thursday, Nov. 3.)
We are working on our creative writing skills this week to create Halloween stories. We also finished an acorn art lesson with Principal Whitehair. Spelling test Friday.
Students may wear Halloween costumes next Monday. Please send or have them wear comfortable shoes for walking. We will parade downtown, then participate in Halloween Tiger Day in the gym and Trunk or Treat in the parking lot. NO scary or gory costumes, please.
READING LOGS will be due WEDNESDAY next week-because of the holiday.
No spelling test next week because of Halloween and the field trip.
We set new AR goals this week. These are written in planners and on their Oct. reading logs. I will send home a report every 2-3 weeks between now and Christmas break. The last day to take AR tests to meet the 2nd quarter goal is Friday, Dec. 16.
Students earned book-it coupons to use at Pizza Hut! Great job to the third graders for reading and turning in logs each week!
