Teachers Notes:
I hope that you had a wonderful weekend and that you kept warm. This week we have our Valentines Tiger Day and we will be passing out those valentines later on through the day. Please send in your valentines no later than Friday morning. Also on Thursday the 13th we had a plan for parents to come help students decorate their part of the auction project. More information will be coming out with this hopefully by the end of today, the latest would be tomorrow evening. Thank you for all that you do and for all of your support and help this year. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to email me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

In UFLI this week we will be working on consonant digraphs ph and wh. We will also be looking at the consonant blends of ng and nk.
Handwriting:
For handwriting this week we will be working on the letters Ww, Vv, Yy, and Xx.
Reading:
In reading this week we will be learning about the song ng, and nk make at the end of a word. We will also be discussing why art and music classes are important. We will be talking about persuasive text and what they look like and the characteristics of a persuasive text. We will also be learning about open syllables.
Math:
We will be continuing with our fluency in adding and subtracting from teen numbers and solving put together/ take apart with addends unknown word problems.
Religion:
In Religion this week we will be learning about the 10 commandments. We will talk about what they are and where we got them.
Science:
In Science this week we will be continuing to learn about the moon and stars in the sky.
Social Studies:
In Social Studies we will be learning about Valentines day and doing some extra fun activities on Friday to go with Valentines day.
